We have downsized to better serve our customers. We have sold our 24 ft. Gooseneck and kept our 18ft. tag-a-long for transports of 8 animals and less. This trailer has roof vent and cross flow ventilation. Trailer is equipped with soft ride and sliding windows. Our goal is to have the right equipment for the right job.
Emmett Acres is a specialized transporter. We only transport Alpacas and Llamas. We do not haul horses, goats, hogs, cows or any other livestock. We do not want to expose your animals to cross - contamination.
Truck is a 2011 F-150 with GPS and 24 Hr. cell phone.
Trailer is a 18- ft. Alum. Haulmark. Trailer has mirrored (acrylic) stall for animals that travel alone. This gives them the feeling they have a companion. Camera and monitor for viewing during transport. We stop every 2-3 hours to roust all animals and let crias nurse. We carry a first aid kit , Bach (Rescue Remedy) and a birthing kit on board (this we hope we never use).
Trailer is bedded and all precautions are taken to give your animals the best possible trip. We carry water, feed (Golden Blend) and hay on all trips. We know you want your animals to feed on the type of feeds they are used to but we carry it just in case.
Trailer is washed and disinfected after each trip. Bedding is fluffed daily and all poop is scooped.
We have 12 years in Alpacas and 36 years over - the - road experience.
