Hello my name is Yang.  I am a 6 week old Llama boy.  I had a wonderful Christmas with my mother and 1/2 brother.  And then everything changed. On the day after Christmas my mother was killed by a careless hunter. They told me that she died quickly and without pain but who is really sure.  Now I am an orphan and living here at Emmett Acres. Soon after that dreadful day my owner called the Southeast Llama Rescue and ask if anyone had experience with motherless baby Llamas. In a real big hurry the word went out and with lots of e mails and phone calls I was found a foster home. They picked me up on Wednesday and put me in with a gazad of alpacas and mini Llamas.
I am having a really good time playing with the little girls and boys. The food is great and they have plenty of room.  When I am bigger I will get to go back to my home and be with my 1/2 brother. They say that will be in several months, whatever that means.
I want to thank everyone that worked to save me and the people of the Southeast Llama Rescue. And remember, I will be happy and  warm here.  Like my new coat?

Yang

Thanks for visiting our web site and we hope you enjoy our alpacas and mini llamas as much as we do.

Emmett Acres was built on 19+ acres in 1992. After several years of trying different ideas with the land we decided on livestock. Our first 3 Alpacas were purchased in August of 1999 and our Mini Llamas were  added in June of 2006 .

In brief, you should know the following about us: our farm was established in 1999 and has been responsible for providing outstanding  Breeding, Boarding , Fiber and Transportation ever since. Our specialty is in the area  of  GREAT genetics, color,  fineness of  fiber . Our regular customers particularly value  our service and our desire to stand behind our sales and values.

1.  We will treat everyone who comes to us in our capacity as owners/breeders as we would want to be treated, with fairness and honesty.

2.  We will willingly share our pertinent knowledge and experience with prospective and new owners/breeders and will endeavor at all times to either provide them with factual answers to their questions and concerns or will refer them to someone who can.

3.  We will make a full and complete disclosure of any facts know to us concerning any animal sold by us which might adversely affect the price a buyer is willing to pay for that animal.

4.  We will at all times refrain from doing or saying anything which might adversely affect the business or reputation of our fellow owners/breeders, however, when asked we will speak the truth of our experiences.

5.  We will at all times promote our business in a positive way so as to bring credit to ourselves, our business, our national associations and our fellow owners/breeders.
